I think I found a way to get banned from Walmart. Our Walmart’s do not have double carts nor do they have carts that are friendly for more than one child. My oldest is two and a half and my youngest is 16 months. My little guy gets to ride in the front and that leaves my oldest in the back with all the groceries.
Yesterday was one of those days where my oldest would not listen, she was into everything and nothing I could say or do was going to stop her. She was crushing boxes, throwing things out of the cart, leaning out to pick things of shelves and just generally being a little monster.
We get to the baking aisle and the cart was about as full as it could get with a 38 pound toddler in the back. I pick up a bag of flour and hesitated, the bottom of the cart was already full with drinks and diapers so it had to go in with her. I think my biggest mistake was trying to hide it under the cereal.
We get up to the front and while I was picking out veggies my daughter not only opened the bag of flour she poured it all over her, everything in our cart, the floor and the cloud that it created made sure everything within a six foot radius was covered as well.
Normally I can get in and out of the store without seeing an employee except for the cashier but wouldn’t you know it, I had three grumpy employees surrounding me within two seconds. They helped clean up my daughter and the stuff in our cart while other mothers mentally gave me the worst mother of the year award. I find it hilarious that they suddenly forget about all the things their toddlers have done. I think from now on I’m just going to buy things in bulk at Sam’s. They have nice big double carts and it makes it harder for my daughter to get in trouble.
Been there, done that. Heck, I don’t even have little ones anymore and I get myself into trouble. Went to the grocery store yesterday and I dropped a carton of eggs. Eighteen eggs all over the floor. They probably want to ban me too.
