Author: I love Crocs, wait I hate Crocs. I love them for being so practical for the summer but I hate how ugly they are. I don’t want to put my kids in ugly shoes but they are too darned practical not to and I hate them for that as well. The kids can wear them in the mud or in the rain, nothing sticks to them, they can be washed by running water over them and they dry in minutes. When I say nothing sticks to them I mean nothing, My daughter drew all over hers with a permanent black Sharpie and I thought they were ruined. Fast forward to today a full month later and I pulled them out and wiped them down with a baby wipe. I was SHOCKED that the Sharpie came off. We have toys with permanent Sharpie all over them but it came off a pair of shoes. I am officially hooked and both my kids will spend their summer in Crocs.

Visiting from SITS. I am also in the love em and hate em category when it comes to crocs. I will say though….Crocs flip flops are the best!!!
i feel the same way! i love them because they fit so well into my toddler’s summer life, but they are certainly ugly! i just bought her a pair from that “alice” line and they’re a bit better looking than the standard clunky style!
Just a note for the permanent ink on toys. If she drew on her dolls, take some extra strength acne cream and dab it on the areas of the doll pretty thick. Lay the doll under a light bulb for at least over night. Remove the acne cream with warm water and wipe clean. Repeat as necessary. Works wonders and doesn’t remove the doll’s original inks (cheeks, lips, eyes, etc)
I love ‘em! Don’t care that they’re ugly.. I just find that endearing!
