Blog of the Day
Grab My Button

My mind and days have been so cluttered with medication schedules, trying to break fevers, Dr’s appointments and whining babies that my blog has gone pretty much neglected. I feel almost guilty on the days I don’t write.

The illnesses started two weeks ago with my daughter having a sinus infection and impetago on her face. This progressed into a double ear infection and another rash on her face that had the Dr scratching her head. She took blood and a culture of the area on her face and results are due back today. Since this seems to be reoccurring we are taking her to a dermatologist in early June.

My poor little man just hasn’t been able to catch a break the past couple of weeks. On top of him cutting four molars he also had a sinus infection, a double ear infection, a respiratory infection and had a fever that
I couldn’t break for four days. This morning he woke up, his fever was gone and I thought the drugs had finally kicked in. I was wrong, the source of the fever just showed up in the form of Roseola. It doesn’t seem to be bothering him and I am happy to report that he is pretty much back to his normal self. Right this very moment he is trying to put a spatula in the air conditioning vent while wearing a bucket on his head. I might finally be able to get my house clean!

  • What did the spots turn out to be? They look like staph in the pic. I think I’m going to end up going in to the dr. my oldest daughter had some and gave it to me!

  • Anna:

I feel for you. I know what you’ve gone through the fever of Roseola is impossible to break. I hope they are feeling better now.
